銀河系のある宇宙の中での地球の住所は、「局部超銀河団　おとめ座銀河団　局部銀河群　銀河系（天の川銀河）　オリオン腕　太陽系　第３惑星」。

銀河系のある宇宙

※観測可能な宇宙の半径は約450億光年。（赤方偏移から計算された理論上の値）
　その領域を超える宇宙は、有限なのか無限なのか分かっていない。
※銀河の数は、約１兆個。（１０の１２乗個）
※宇宙の果ては光速の約３．５倍の速度で地球から遠ざかっている。（いずれの銀河から見ても、他の銀河が一様に分布していて、その距離に比例した速度で遠ざかっているように見える。）
